Meet your fossil guide
Casey Rich is an independent field palaeontologist based on the Jurassic Coast, specialising in the collection, documentation, and study of fossils from sites on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. He works closely with museums and academic researchers to ensure specimens are preserved, scientifically recorded, and used in research publications. His contributions include rare and scientifically important fossils that have entered museum collections and supported ongoing palaeontological studies. Through years of fieldwork, public outreach, and collaboration, Casey is recognised by colleagues in the field as a professional palaeontologist, despite not holding a formal academic degree
